A GOES-18 ABI solar calibration scan is planned on 28 April 2025. Between 15:10 and 15:15 UTC GOES-18 ABI will operate in continuous Full Disk Mode (mode 4) instead of 10-minute Flex Mode (mode 6). Filenames will change to reflect the mode 4 operations, e.g.: OR_ABI-L1b-RadF-M4C01_G18_s20251181510[SSS]_e20251181515[SSS]_c202511815[mmssSSS]-136002_0.nc. ABI 10-minute Flex Mode (Mode 6) will resume at 15:20 UTC.

Sentinel-3A

During future OLCI Lunar Calibrations for both Sentinel-3A and Sentinel-3B starting on 26/01/2024, a new SRAL calibration sequence will be executed. This will involve a long-duration (~10 mins) CAL1 SAR observation, followed by a CAL2 observation and another long-duration CAL1 SAR observation. This will be executed during the SRAL outage periods associated with the Lunar Calibration manoeuvres, so no additional outage will be introduced.
